As an offshore structural engineer by trade, I have much interest in analyzing numbers to ascertain what they construe. I am a true believer in value investing and Warren Buffet is my idol in investing arena. Through years of good and bad in the markets, my investment concept is crystalized and I firmly believe value investing is the most rational way to increase long term wealth while keeping risk at bay.
The essence of value investing is to determine the intrinsic value of the company. It requires in-depth knowledge of the industry as well as the company and many more. That one is able to identify the intrinsic value doesn’t guarantee success as human psycology also plays an important role in decision making process.
This blog dedicates to my view towards value investing by scrutinizing, investigating and performing due diligence on the fundamental of the companies I am interested. However, it does not intend to influence nor convince readers to believe what I wrote and I might or might not have any stakes in the companies I covered. Why do you interested in ERAWAN instead of MINT or CENTEL ?
I’m invest in ERAWAN since last year.
MINT and CENTEL are in my watchlist as well. When come to investing, it really boils down to the price you paid compared with value. Current turmoil together with charges from several new hotel developments suppress its earnings and hence share price. In my opinion, all of its new hotels have potential and the company deserves higher valuation when the economic conditon returns to its normal.
